Great hotel for the money
the hotel was comfortable and clean. Front desk service helpfull and pleasant. I was in the 6am MachuPicchu entrance group and the hotel had breakfast ready at 5am! One thing to note: the address provided by Hotels.com was easy to locate but... when I arrived there was a construction going on. I asked a gentleman there and pointed me out to a different address. They are undergoing a renovation and are operating somewhere else. No big deal, actually it is a better location, right in front of the river! It could’ve been helpful an email prior to arrival informing of new temporary address. Otherwise I’m very happy with Intiquilla Machu Picchu Hotel

Get what you paid for.
Hotel is not located in the area booked. They moved and did not inform us. Took time to find it because of that. Would not allow late check out even if you paid. We had 2 rooms. One room with the window was good but the other room had no window and smelled really bad. Breakfast was okay, not fulfilling like other Peru locations. Overall location was really good. Close to markets and the train station.

A great stay!
Hard to find, but I think that’s probably the case with anything in Aguas Calientes. The girl that checked us in was very helpful and kind. Really a great place for the price, I highly recommend!

Convenient, affordable and clean option for AC
Located close to the train station and market on the east side, this was the perfect place to stay in Aguas Calientes. We arrived in the morning, but the receptionist let us put our stuff in a room. When we returned after Machu Picchu, we asked to switch to a smaller room (we were a couple and didn’t need three beds). No problem! The place was very quiet, which was great for a nice sleep. The shower had hot water too. We liked the top floor room, which was near the breakfast area. The food was ample and good. It’s all we wanted in a hotel in AC. And they preferred credit card payment, which was great (especially as there was no extra fee). Check out is a bit early at 9 but wasn’t an issue for us. Loved it!

Mediocre accommodations
Met our needs for visiting Machu Picchu. Front staff ver quick to respond to issues (e.g., hot water, WiFi).

Couldn't find reservation
When we got to the hotel at night they couldn't find our reservations, the ladies working there were total lost and it took almost 40 minutes for the owner to show up. He found the reservations and did not have roons available so he took us to a better hotel for the same price. It was stressful and we were exhausted

Hotel in Aguas Calientes
Three beds were cramped into a small room. One of the beds partially blocked the entrance to the bathroom. The bathroom had no fan and no hot water was available for showers. Other that the main person in charge the rest of the staff was not professional.

This should have been simple...
The room was perfectly fine, but some shortcomings of the staff made the stay a hassle. First, we were told someone would meet us at the train station to take us to the hotel, but no one came. Thankfully, a different hotel staff said he would take us to Intiquilla. Upon arrival at the hotel, we were told we did not have a reservation. Then the receptionist asked if we booked through Expedia, which I said yes, and she said in that case we would be staying at the other hotel in this chain, which has a slightly different name. It was only a short walk away, so that was fine. But my friend and I were being picked up by a tour group the next morning, and of course they also went to the wrong hotel. It was confusing and a little stressful, but we did finally connect with our Machu Picchu guide. Also, when we got to the hotel our room was locked and they could not let us in. The manager was fixing the hot water or something, so we just had to wait. After about 10 minutes we decided to go shopping, and when we got back about an hour later the room was open. We were told someone would be awake at 4am to check our bags into a locked room for the day, but no one was awake at 4am. I came back later but even at the time breakfast was supposed to start, no staff was around. They were quite late.

Fine hotel - affordable in Machu Picchu
The hotel was very average. For the most part it was clean, but there was visible dirt on the floor in some areas. It also was unfinished - there were lights over our bed that didn't work and a hole in the ceiling. The hot water oscillated between very hot and ice cold during our short showers. If you're looking to save money on lodging, it is a good option, but don't have very high expectations.

It could be better, not like the pictures
The room was ok, but not as in the pictures. The room was dirty, with spiderwebs, the ceiling is in bad conditions, the hot water didn't work well. The service was good and the wifi signal also good. Its very basic.
