It is typically superior for service as are virtually all hotels in Japan I've used. This one has a parking elevator for your car and places it on the 3rd floor for absolute hassle free access! Didn't find it cost anything to park in the hotel either. The location is on the main drag of the town and a three block walk to the train station if you are not driving. I used the trains to reach Enoshima, Kamakura Great Buddha, and Fujisawa Beach, the station a 10 minute walk from the hotel, and a 10-25 minute train ride depending on what site you wish to reach, but I recommend you spend a day working your way to Kamakura and a day for the Enoshima island. Enoshima Electric Railway, or Enoden, runs from Fujisawa to Kamakura and is one of only three tram systems remaining in the Greater Tokyo Area. Try the one-day pass called Noriori. Note the island requires a great deal of walking up and down steep steps. This area is a hidden away treasure of the local Japanese for history, beach fun, shopping, wind surfing, and the like. You want to kick back and relax, this is the coolest place :) Now, a couple of notes on the hotel. A single bed room is very tight (typical) and okay if you are 5'2" and weight 100 pounds. Bigger? Book a two bed room. The other thing is that there is a restaurant on the 2nd floor the hotel uses for the typical Japanese breakfast you expect with a room, except this was no typical meal. It costs $10 US a person and was terrible. Eat any where else.
