Izmir's Izmir City Centre neighborhood is known for its cafes and seafood restaurants, and entices visitors with attractions including Kulturpark and Izmir International Fair.
If you like haggling for the best price, you might want to head out to Kemeralti Market in Izmir City Centre and take in the atmosphere. There are also lots of shops and restaurants in the area if you fancy a wander. Splash some more cash at Konak Pier Shopping Mall and Synagogue Street.
You can stroll along Izmir Harbour for relaxing water views when you're in Izmir City Centre. If you carry on walking you'll get to Izmir Port for some more water views.
Wander through the ancient Agora, marveling at Roman ruins and Byzantine artifacts. Hop on a ferry to explore the turquoise waters of the Aegean, stopping at charming coastal villages.
Izmir is very different from Istanbul. I loved this city, its bazaar, ancient Greco-Roman sites, attractive waterfront and the warmest, friendliest people. You can take a taxi to visit some of the most beautiful beaches. Yellow taxis are reliable.

A unique upbeat and cosmopolitan city in Turkey. Old town is great for shopping and foodies. Good vibe with lovely harbour walks.

Great place to check out in Turkey. Everyone smokes though, and there's not a lot of places where you can't smell the smoke, so that was one big turn off for me.

I'd recommend it It's quite a large city but I found the people friendly and helpful I'll be visiting again soon hopefully Plus the taxi drivers were fair unlike some cities where they try to rip you off 😂😂

Will be back to explore more of the city, our 2 days was not long enough.
"Wife and i had an absolutely perfect experience here. Extremely clean and staff was very professional and polite, they are happy and eager to help you with anything. Great breakfast buffet with diverse food options. Very clean and cozy room. Free wifi throughout the whole place. Pool area was awesome! Excellent service and very clean. Italian dinner at the rooftop was world class. This is my new favorite place to vacation. We will be back next year! Thank you Swissotel!"
"The staff was always courteous and helpful. When I phoned with a question the receptionist couldn't readily answer, she called me back 5 minutes later after researching it for me.
The view from the seafront room was incredible.
The bed is very soft, which I like, but not everyone agrees. There are no loud social spots near the hotel to cause a disturbance, but the elevator is slightly audible from within the room, but that didn't bother me at all either.
Highly recommend!"
"The first room we were given smelled of cigarettes, so we asked reception to change it. The second room had no odor, but we were subjected to loud music all night long. There was so much noise that we thought the window was open, but it wasn't. It shouldn't have heard so much outside noise."
