The island is very busy with tourists. We were glad we didn't stay in Corful town. A stunning town, full of history BUT the disgorging of thousands of visitors from cruise ships did mitigate what would otherwise have been a first class city visit.

Minimum 3 days to stay, walk as much as you can. Avoid big restaurants, try small taverns with local food, local wine, cocktails. Come close to the end of April to enjoy beaches and swimming.

We had a car for 2 weeks and could really explore. For the last two days we had to decide where to visit again as we had covered the whole island at a leisurely pace. I can't sit on a beach day after day! There is not much in the way of museums.

Corfu is a beautiful place but it's economy revolves around the tourism and it can be a little expensive because of this. Make sure you know how much an item is before you order it because i know from experience that you can be ripped off.

There are lovely areas for peaceful holidays and other areas more suitable to younger people wanting noise bars and fun - something for everyone Incoming passengers may suffer long delays as passport control often under manned.

I booked this place as it was close to Palaiokastritsa where I was diving. The diving was amazing and the town around the bay was beautiful. Definitely rent a car when coming here as taxis are not always available.
"Great location on north east of the island. Beautiful views across to Albania coastline. Nice local secluded beach with very safe water. Two very nice pools. Amazing food options and great quality. Rooms very nice. Ideal for young families and adults."
"Really nice hotel with beautiful beach front. The staff were super friendly. The restaurants require super advance booking. I would book them way before check in. Like more than 7 days. They need to do better with the restaurant bookings. However they do have a good buffet. "
