No air conditioning during October
I Have stayed at this hotel several times due to the convenience of its location, but I have noticed that the hotel has declined and I do not consider it a 4-star hotel, but rather a maximum of 3 stars. During my visits, upon arrival, there was no electricity because they were doing maintenance, which didn’t bother me as I decided to explore the city. However, when I returned, I realized the air conditioning wasn’t working. I went to the front desk, and they told me that they don’t turn it on in October. I explained to the receptionist that the temperature was 78 degrees, and they said that the weather was not normal and that I should open the window. I tried to change hotels because the room was quite hot, but they refused to refund my money. I told them that they should note that they don’t have air conditioning, as I would not have booked with them if I had known.

The hotel is located in a great area within walking distance to a lot of landmarks, but removed from the hustle of downtown Madrid. It is quiet and safe. I loved the people who work in the hotel, they were caring and friendly.

I really enjoyed the quirkiness of the property. The breakfast in the morning was included in my price. Bed was very comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. I struggled with WiFi reception which made it difficult to get an Uber on the correct side of the street. It is a short drive away from the airport.
