Check in is a nightmare if you are flying in from the states and arrive early. There is no attendant and the lobby is basically a waiting area. Most of the times the codes do not work until your check in time and even though this property does list as a pay at property - it does not work that way. That said, the rooms were lovely if a bit stuffy and warm. There is not daily maid service and your trash does pile up.

The bathroom was badly designed. Shower area is not a full enclosure and the shower floor was not slanted toward the drain so the water flowed outside the shower areas. The sink was so small and the mirror and the tray in front of the mirror was in the way that you cannot even wash your face without hitting the tray in front of the mirror. Whoever designed that bathroom was a bone head. Not fully thought of and never used what he has designed.

The room was dark and small and looked out to a concrete wall. No staff on hand for problems with the room. The shower was a wet shower with no way to sop up the water, we had to use the towels to be able to use the bathroom.

No way to get any customer service as there are no onsite hotel staff. You call and they are nice, but cannot help. They said that they offered an included breakfast, all three of us saw it on their website, then it was removed, and when we called about it, they denied they ever offered breakfast and asked us to prove it. Overall a rude experience. Rooms were like caves, dark, depressing, and looking out on a dark cement area, walls were institutional grey with darker grey accents. Over all an uncomfortable, inconvenient experience. This would be great for the under 30 crowd who don’t want any human contact.

Great First Impression
This was great place to stay. The checkin process and directions was spot on. The room was very comfortable and the cleaning staff were very friendly. Everything we needed was close by within walking distance.

Second time is not a charm
I don't know if it was were the room was situated but wifi was glitchy which made the TV pixilate often and connecting the laptop was impossible. It took of getting used too but the door did not want to lock easily so slamming the door to lock it was probably not appreciated by those around us. The location, though was fantastic and the room and facilities were amazing

The keycoded system made it easy for people not staying in the hotel to enter. The door to the elevator and rooms was propped open. The lounge area was made available to us when requested, as we had arrived on an early morning flight. Our room was not ready for early check in. A lovely, housekeeper Jodie?? Showed us to our room when it was ready. The area quite local to the main attractions and within walking distance. Parking is outside, the later in the day you park the harder it is. A girl was mugged in her hotel lobby, which put me on high alert in Iceland. Be mindful, the mugging put a dampner on the center of Reykjavik and the pickpocket signs. Will be back amd probably stay here again, as it was a very clean and comfortable room. No complaints at all about the room.

Room was nice but as the property is not attended, we had codes to gain access. In addition, we had to travel thru so many corridors to get to our room. It just felt like ‘get smart’. Then our room door would not lock from the outside & so we did not move our luggage until after dinner.

Hotel was okay
It was okay, the doors to the elevator slam and waking everyone up. The bathroom had poor lighting and the shower leaked over the ridge after every shower.

This hotel has no live staff onsite...if uncomfortable with this dont book here. You must have a cell phone that is always on in iceland so you can recieve your room access info, pay your stay bill and call customer service when your code does not work.

There are no staff on property other than cleaning staff. No one to go to for directions, restaurant recommendations or taxi service. I will not stay at another hotel with no person at the lobby desk. I is as quiet as a morgue.

We had trouble using the keypad to get in. Could be user error but it kept saying the code was wrong. We went to the lobby to get assistance but they don’t seem to have staff on site at least at night. We went back and tried the code again and it worked. The hotel is really nice, new, clean and modern. Very spacious bathroom, balcony and great decor. A little outside the central area of the city but great experience overall after we got into the room.

The room was small but functional. Pulling back the duvet there was black hair on it he sheets( not ours) There is not a front desk. We had a few issues, we tried to call for help and talked to a lady who was not in Iceland, then messaged because we were trying to arrange pick up for the airport and got a response that said “ I’m confused and don’t know what you’re talking about” and to go to a near by hotel for help. Customer service is more than lacking, overall not a great experience

Great spot! Bathroom was one of the most elegant I've ever seen. Loved the view from the top floor hallway. Had available parking every day. Had dinner at a great food hall a few blocks away, towards the water.

This property converted to self service after I booked it. Everything about this was a disaster. I was told I would receive key codes for the front door and the luggage storage room prior to our arrival earlier than check-in. Those did not arrive in a timely manner, and when they did, NONE of them worked. I had to call the customer service line and spend at least 30 minutes on the phone trying to get into the luggage storage room, after only entering the lobby when another guest let us in. Upon return later, after the 3pm check-in time, all of the door codes AGAIN did NOT work. Another 40 minutes on the phone to get our luggage and get into our rooms. Once inside, the rooms are fine. This self-service nonsense is a nightmare. I would never book here again for this reason.
