I can only speak highly of the Cinnamon Hotel. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, the rooms are spacious bungalows just a few meters from the sea, overlooking the pool and the restaurant. The beach of Jambiani, right in front, stretches for several kilometers and offers beautiful walks. The hotel is also environmentally friendly, using glass bottles for water and furnishing with reclaimed wood, refurbished in a functional and tasteful manner. The restaurant serves excellent food at great prices. However, the real standout feature of Cinnamon is its staff. The managers are truly welcoming and kind, and above all, they will offer valuable advice and act as intermediaries between guests and the locals to ensure fair pricing for services. They are familiar with European standards and will protect you from unscrupulous operators—such as those who overcharge for modest boat trips. Keep in mind that in Jambiani, like many other places in Zanzibar, swimming and snorkeling spots are often only accessible by boat due to shallow waters extending several kilometers from the shore, especially during low tide.
One last tip for Cinnamon Hotel. We visited in mid-March (low season, humid season), and the ground floor rooms were extremely hot. However, for a modest price difference, we were able to get a room on the first floor, which was well-ventilated, with a terrace and a truly fantastic sea view. We hope to return. Thank you!
