Room was in annexe at distance from main building and reception, necessitating 76 year old with mobility issues to carry bags in pouring rain across cobbles to a different building at some minutes' walk away, where there was no lift. Stairwell of this other building was dirty and smelled stale. A used towel had been left on the stairs. The staircase was narrow and the walls marked from many collisions with suitcases. Badly in need of decoration. The room itself was basic in the extreme. Carpet was threadbare in places and stained. One door of the wardrobe would not stay open and the other could not be opened at all due to proximity of other furniture. Not even a hook to hang (now very wet) coats outside of wardrobe. Extractor fan in main room (not bathroom) ran continuously and noisily without means of switching it off. Suspect that guests staying in the main building may have had a very different experience, but if you're going to put people in a building other than the one advertised, it is essential to make that clear at the outset, especially if access is an issue. It is dishonest to show photos of a specific building, and to claim features such as a lift, if you then house the guest elsewhere.
