Great place for a family adventure

This place is situated in a beautiful area and they have made so many fun things available for the family. Kayaks for use up and down the channel, campfire in the evenings, pool area with dry sauna and hot tub are fun activities. The path to the beach was flooded due to heavy rain so it was fun walking on a “boardwalk” of planks and limbs to get across the puddles. The lodging was good for 4 people, but I would say that is the max amount for the size of the space. All the beds were up a winding staircase and the bathroom is downstairs, so if you have people who use the bathroom in the middle of the night it can be precarious. Overall we enjoyed this place and they allow dogs. The people were all friendly and very helpful.

Perfect family getaway

This place is really a hidden gem. It’s great for an affordable family trip. We had everything we needed for everything we wanted to do on our ocean trip right at our fingertips. They have a path to the beach, a playground for the younger kids, a pool, outdoor grilling area, a campfire place, so many more things that we didn’t even get to take advantage of this trip. We will definitely be back asap.

Just right

We loved it. Cute, charming. Needs updated cabinets. Ice tasted funny from sink water. Used bottled water. Bed was uncomfortable. It did have bunk beds so we’ll bring the grandkids next time. The gas fireplace was nice. I’d give it a 8 out of 10 :)

Puppies and kites . Long walks and cozy fire

We enjoy this property for its laid back but welcoming feel. Everything at the property worked and the fireplace was so cozy. The kitchen was basic but had all we needed . One bed was too soft so I moved to the bunk because of my bad back . That worked !

I enjoyed the atmosphere. The staff were super friendly. It was very clean. My daughter and I enjoyed the pool table. In the summer I would enjoy the pool and kayaks you provided. There were trails near by. Thank you.

Perfect weekend getaway!

Really enjoyed our stay here. We appreciated that as a dog-friendly accommodation that they provided sheets and towels specifically for the animals. The appliances and cookware were a little outdated, but definitely met our standards for a short weekend getaway. The spiral staircase was tricky with an infant, but just hold on to the handrails and we were fine! We LOVED the beach access.

Great for a family of 4, plus a dog

We had a great time! The staff was so friendly and we were really impressed with the variety of amenities for the cost - and with how dog-friendly it was! Loved the gas fireplace too - perfect for a rainy night. Would absolutely stay again, and next time we’ll bring our swimsuits as the pool and hot tub are open year round!

We came for the quiet, and that's mostly what we found. We enjoyed the short walk to the ocean and had two breaks in the weather to enjoy it. Spa area is nice. Sound travels from it quite a bit, though. Could hear the steady clatter of louder families enjoying the pool through the walls of our unit. Everything about the unit is functional and dated. Couches work, but they're old. There's nothing fancy about the dining room table. The silverware is a step up from plasticware. Also, you'll be handwashing the plates and cups you use, as there's no dishwasher. But the thermostat is wonderful. Loved how warm we could make the place after coming in from a walk. We didn't mind the layout of the unit--bed upstairs, living space below. But a drawback for many will be that the only bathroom is downstairs. If you need to pee at night, you'll be clutching the spiral staircase and finding your way there in the dark. Would be so much more convenient to have even a half bath upstairs. Appreciated the use of canoes and the game room.
