While the front entry of the hotel is somewhat demure, the hotel gets more impressive with each step you take, going fr one grand area to another. This is an old fort/castle that has large rooms with lots of aged mahogany & other local hardwood, stone & brick. Really impressive! The staff was equally impressive with their attentive attitude and exceptional service. I think the pool area is the largest in Granada, with sparkling water, surrounded by comfortable lounge chairs under lots of tiki thatch umbrellas. There is also a chapel with huge arched thick wooden doors. There are multiple rooms for various size gatherings, like weddings(the photo opportunities will make you think you have traveled back in time to the 1800's)The bedroom & bathroom are a nice size, clean & came with an antique beautiful Ropero (Wardrobe). My wife and I stayed in a Deluxe room, that came with double queen beds, dinning room table for six, and a living room that seats eight, plus a safe. The dining room had a fridge, and the air conditioning worked just great! The double balcony had amazing views of Mombacho Volcan surrounded by and its gorgeous nature. I really had nothing to say, but great things about this resort, before I made the reservations I went on line to research about the best resorts in Granada, I chose 4 including this one, then I sent my nephew who lives in Managua to personally go and check all the resorts and send me pictures,The only hotel that match their website was this one!
