Historic hotel on its way out
I stayed in hotel Moreno a few times over the last year . Its one of those hidden gems in that it is an apart-hotel with old school loft like rooms. The rooms are tomb like quiet, the building has a rich and high level of construction and truly feels like home. Some parts of the wall trims are a little old and worn but over all the quality is great. They used to offer a breakfast but it has been discontinued, as the hotel is set the close within the next month and only offer individual rooms for rent.

Moreno. blending modern with echoes of the past
What a great hotel, echoes of 1930s Argentina, but totally updated. Huge rooms with all the amenities you need, inc. quick Wi-Fi. Close to main points of interest and the rooftop view gives another dimension.. Friendly staff. Would definitely recommend.

A lovely boutique hotel
I really liked this hotel. From the moment I stepped in, the clerk at the front step was very friendly (in a genuine, reasonable way) and helpful, and the entire lobby area was thoughtfully decorated - didn't resemble your run-of-the-mill chain hotel. The room was spacious and quiet. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was good. There's a really nice rooftop terrace. It's not fancy, but it's quiet up there and the wifi worked quite well, enabling some work on the side. I would definitely book this hotel again. Also, San Telmo is a nice area with some museums, and lots of great cafes, restaurants, bars, pubs, and so on.

Great quality and nice room!
Excellent experience and great quality. I’ve stayed there before. My only caution is to be aware of scammers on the street in San Telmo.

4/10 Fair

Nice hotel but in a rundown neighborhood.
also, the door into the shower/toilet would not close properly, leaving the door handle precariously close to the toilet seat. The bed was very good, and the cleaning staff provided shampoo and other basic toiletries without requesting. Finally, the hotel is located in the old downtown area of the city. Construction is constant, with noise, dust and narrow, difficult cobblestone streets to negotiate. For example, the sidewalk in front of the hotel is completely broken, with patches of missing tiles. There was no evidence that hotel management was interested in repairing the area on behalf of its clients. The photo submitted by management is misleading of its current condition. Carpeting is old as are the antique elevators.

2/10 Poor

No breakfast or restaurant
We could not stay, they didnt have a room ready for us, waited 3 hours for it. Then we realize they dont offer breakfast, they dont have a restaurant either like they show on their pictures, we asked the staff and they said they dont offer that service anymore....ooops we forgot to remove those pictures !!!! Well, their advertising or pictures is misleading, we were sold something else, at that point we decided not to stay in that Hotel, requested a refund and they said it was imposible

Perfect location in city center
Perfect location to walk around in the city center . Located next to 2 very nice restaurants : Brasserie Petanque and La Brigada. The rooftop overlooks the high rises of the port and to the left the Cathedral San Francisco and the view is wonderful. The hotel is clean and correct. Bedrooms are big and spacious . Maybe need a bit of TLC overall. The staff is very nice and helpful and always ready to help.

Moreno is Bueno
Good location, with friendly staff on reception who were also very helpful. It sits next to Aldo's which has a night club restaurant and vonoteca. The only downside is that it needs a bit of tlc in the room we stayed in.

Spacious, clean hotel, handy for San Telmo
Room was great, spacious with a comfortable bed, nice bathroom. A pity that the interior designer mixed laminate flooring with a wet bathroom area as the resultant warping and staining detract from the look, as did a large patch above the bed that was obviously a previous damp patch but now repainted in non-matching ceiling paint. The overall character of this boutique style hotel is great with its period, gated lifts and overall spaciousness. The roof terrace is a nice touch but needs attention. The area was safe but a bit run-down but very convenient for restaurants, bars etc. with many within walking distance. Only one block from Av Belgrano which is good for taxis and public transport.

nice hotel, staff could provide more information.
Great bedroom hotel. Not the nicest view as the one cathedral/church was under construction and covered, but the location was very centric. A few minutes from different areas of Buenos Aires. If you have a late flight coming in or super early in the morning, you can sleep peacefully and regulated your own temperature. There is room service as well. The décor in the hotel was modern and although the staff was pleasant, they could also be more informative upfront when it comes to what to do around the area.

Wonderful! Spacious rooms and excellent location!
Moreno Hotel was wonderful! We loved the boutique style and posh vintage decor. The rooms were very spacious with great amenities like a wet bar, desk, couch, and separate sink / toilet areas. The location was excellent, in close proximity to everything we wanted to do. A quick walk to local restaurants, wine bars, stores, and historic sites. The staff was extremely friendly and very helpful with all of our needs. They were so accommodating to speak with us in English as our Spanish was very limited. The rooftop terrace and club room was a great spot to enjoy a view of the city and relax. It was high summer when we visited, but in milder weather it would be perfect for enjoying empanadas and wine al fresco.

Great hotel in San Telmo
San Telmo is one of, if not the, most funky and fun neighborhood in Buenos Aires. Moreno Hotel offers huge rooms in an old, renovated building. We stayed here some years ago and found it measured up to our old opinions. The staff were great. You are half a block from the San Telmo weekly street fair, which is a must see, and it is a short walk to Florida and its plethora of shops. We will stay there again.

Great value for money!
The hotel is very centrally located, ideal for tourist destinations. While it's an old building it's fully refurbished and the rooms are large and tastefully decorated. Best value for money during my trip.
