Really liked the hotel and convenience to downtown and other museums. The neighborhood at night is a little sketchy as there are some run down homes/businesses nearby. The front desk staff were above and beyond friendly and made me feel welcome.

Wonderful hotel

Beautiful building, room felt luxurious. Very clean. Breakfast is a little weird. You order it the night before and then you pick it up in a shopping bag at a chosen time in a room with tables and chairs, but it's not a dining room, really. There's no serving people there. But the food was good enough. Anyway, we have no trips planned, but I would stay there again.

Not what you see on the web

If you look at the pictures on the hotel website, or check the Deutschtown website you'll see that the neighborhood is very different when you arrive. Most shops are closed, there is trash everywhere, and you will not feel comfortable walking anywhere.

It's all about the Monk

Wonderful front desk staff and the Monk Bar was a fun surprise. We enjoyed a fabulous hand-crafted cocktail and the bartender's music selection before heading out for the evening. Breakfast was to-go style but there is a comfortable dining area to enjoy if you prefer to not take it to your room or to wherever you are going. Very walkable location. It was cold when we were there, but the outdoor patio area looks very inviting for next time.

Lovely vintage property

We really enjoyed our stay at The Priory Hotel. The building is charming and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The complementary breakfast was very good. The room was a little dated, but it was large and had everything we needed. The bathroom is very small, as is to be expected in an old hotel. Everything was exceptionally clean. The neighborhood was slightly sketchier than expected, but not a problem, and it's close to the highway and downtown, as well as North Shore sights. There are two parking lots hotel guests can use; the only time we had a problem finding a spot was when there was an event at the connected event space on Saturday night. I highly recommend the hotel.

The Priory is a Hidden Treasure!

Our 3 night stay was our first visit but won't be our last. Michael is an outstanding bartender and attracted hotel guests as well as locals for a fun time. All of the employees were friendly and helpful. It's an easy walk to a couple of terrific restaurants on East Ohio Street.

Very comfortable hotel

My wife and I stayed at The Priory for 3 days in March, and had room with a king size bed. This was our second time at The Priory. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and the room, and in particular the bed, is very comfortable. There is a very small "pub" located off of the lobby (the Monk's bar) that is a great spot to grab a few cocktails in the evening. The only issue is that the room we had was fairly small, especially the bathroom. Otherwise the hotel is absolutely beautiful and enjoyable.

Very nice property and very friendly and engaging staff. Mandy was extremely helpful with restaurant recommendations and general recommendations about the area. Michael was very hospitable and both he and Mandy were a delight to speak with. All in all a very relaxing and pleasant stay. Highly recommend!!

Great place to stay. Rooms are a bit small so get a deluxe. Bar and people working there were a step ahead of most hotels. Shower was small but fantastic. Hot water for days and good pressure.

The Priory is absolutely beautiful and has a caring, consistent staff. It is very comforting to return to a hotel and have the same staff greet me, and remember me. The hotel is very clean, warm and inviting. The Monk's Bar in the hotel has delicious drinks and food, and is staffed by a great bartender who knows his business and knows the area. It's a lovely spot to spend the evening.
