Jeju City was larger than expected. If you are on Jeju Island to enjoy nature, you must drive, take a cab, or Uber to other parts of the island. The museums are excellent and set amid nature. There are also beaches and botanical gardens to explore.

Local Cuisine-Plenty of restaurants serving black pork and fresh sashimi across the island. Jeju Stone Park a recommended stop, especially useful when traveling across the island. The Natural Pools were very beautiful and definitely worth seeing.

If you haven't been to jeju, it is different than the mainland. No trains and very sparse bus service. Taxis are the way to get around.

Jeju Island has a lot of advantages compared to many Southeast Asian resort areas. Most resort areas in Southeast Asia provide resort-concept rest areas, but Jeju Island is really a beautiful Korean island with everything you want.

Be sure to check out the Tourist Information office for lots of great info on where to visit. They had 3 pp working and they all helped us to plan the perfect day of sightseeing.
"Korean style mattresses can be a little hard for westerners, but the rooms, staff, facilities, amd area are all so amazing that its easy to overlook a harder mattress than i am used to! Wonderful stay!"
"Excellent option for staying in Jeju. Rooms have amazing views, are comfortable and modern. Breakfast is an absolute highlight of the trip. Everything was fresh, delicious and the variety was mouthwatering. All kinds of Korean staples plus the usual international fares. Only 10 minutes from the airport and the hotel offers free shuttle starting at 6am. Two pools (one indoors one outdoors), and they’re both super fun. Staff throughout the property was friendly and professional. I recommend this hotel 100%"
