"The location and facilities were pleasant, however the service by the staff was horrendous. Staff was very negative and rude when they finally acknowledged guests. They made us feel as if we were an inconvenience to them. They were not willing to even step up to the standards of hospitability of offering options. Very poor attitude by staff. My family has been going to Carrizal for over 60 years and will continue their visits, however it's disappointing that we can't expect better service. ...

in the pool area, orchids trail or getting a massage. Breakfast buffet is good, service is great. Nice party room upstairs, perfect for your private events. Rooms are nice a spacious. No tv or phone in rooms. No ac either but there’s a fan available. Weather in August is nice. "

"The hotel is a beautiful property, but it starts showing the time passing by. Hopefully, the administration can keep it modern, updated and functional for many years to come. The room was big, and the bed was very comfortable and clean. The surrounding area is just marvellous! The mountains, vegetation and towns are breathtaking. I want to come back!"
