We loved Kumamoto. The city is not so busy as a bit off the tourist track. The castle is really worth a visit and there are several lovely gardens. Great tram and bus network. English not spoken so much but the translation apps work well!

Love Kumamoto city. It was more laid back. Transportation around the city using the Tram A or B was good and a great way to see the city while getting around town.

This is our third time to Kumamoto. We have enjoyed put stay each time.
"Convenient location, just 3 mins walk to the shopping street with many restaurants options. The tatami room is very nice! Parking is not quite friendly as it doesn’t allow to drive out once we parked, so please take this into consideration when you book this. "
