Burlingame is soo cute! You have the option of walking along Broadway Ave or Burlingame Ave. We ate at Himali Bistro, a Tibetan place, which was great and then had coffee at Plucky's where families were playing board games and drinking coffee.

If you go into the Center of Burlingame it's a cool little place that has a very European feel. Loved all the restaurants and cafes there.

Burlingame itself has a quiet downtown area. The airport hotel area is in a different neighborhood, alongside the bay. No convenience stores, so unless you have a vehicle you're limited to the expensive shops in the hotel.

This northeast side of Burlingame is a little cold in the winter because of the wind coming off the S.F. Bay. There are a lot of hotels around here, and not much variety of dining options. However, Max's restaurant is excellent with good prices.

Your right on the water with a walking trail. Was not overly crowded on the path. Parking does cost $$$. But you always have a spot. It was never over crowded with cars. Hotel was extremely busy. But decent people.

Burlingame, especially Broadway, is a delightful town. I would not walk from the hotel, but younger or healthier people might.

"The closest stay to Chinatown - perfect to enjoy the summer night market. Plus a short walk to North Beach and about 30 min walk to Fisherman's Wharf and Pier 39. Love not having to drive around - walking was a fun experience to see the city!"
"We loved staying at The Handlery! I grew up in SF and I have always wanted to stay there. I was visiting this time. It is an icon hotel in San Francisco, and everyone was so friendly and happy and helpful. We had a fantastic time. Thank you"
