Chester always delivers on restaurants, bars, shops and galleries. We always find somewhere new when we stay. Love the small bars on the Rows, The riverside, Wall walks and of course a day at the races. Lots to do for every interest.

We love to visit Chester all year round. There's always plenty to do and explore. Everytime we visit we find something new. Great for long walks along the River Dee and the pathway towards the Welsh border. The nightlife is great.

It's my home town, so I'm a little biased. I live in Canada now, but would highly recommend to anyone who is interested in History. From the Roman walls, to a magnificent Cathedral this city is sure to please.

Chester was a major Roman settlement (Deva), and there's plenty to see and learn if you are interested, especially in the Grosvenor museum. There's lots of the usual shops and many good pubs.

Great city for walking. Some fantastic old pubs - The Boot (no phones etc) and The Albion if you fancy a bit of nostalgia with no kids, stags or hens but great real ale

We walked the city walls from start to finish. We toured Chester Cathedral. We had delicious food and enjoyed the historic architecture of this ancient city.
"Lovely hotel in a great location. Staff really helpful and friendly. Breakfast was good and our room was excellent. Bar/restaurant area was really nice and the lady serving at the bar was really lovely. We will definitely stay again. Ate at the restaurant called Amni across the road and it was excellent. Loads of choice of lovely restaurants nearby and main shopping area just round the corner made it a brilliant location."
"Very nice property with friendly staff. Location is a short walk to town where there are lots of bars, restaurants and shops.
The majority of the rooms are in the building across the parking lot from the hotel restaurant and river. Partial view river views look across the parking lot and are quite limited but pleasant. "
"It was amazing, great relaxed breakfast, fantastically comfortable beds, clean and cozy. We’ve actually extended our stay by a night as we’ve had such a nice stay."
"Hotel was stunning both inside and outside and the staff were really friendly and polite nothing was too much trouble. Bed was really comfy and breakfast was excellent would come back to stay next time we are in Chester. Great location 5 minutes from motorway and only a few minutes from city centre and the zoo which is why we visited"
