"I have stayed in many places in Jackson since living there years ago, but Flat Creek Inn was a real good find. This nice place is a motel, not fancy from the outside, and has an attached convenience store and gas station which might seem unattractive to some, however the folks that come there are hunters, locals and the atmosphere is fine. The motel allows guests free access to hot beverages at the convenience store, in addition to having fresh fruit and snacks available in the motel office lobby which is connected.
The personnel are kind and helpful consistently, from the manager in the office to the team at the convenience store who are friendly and knowledgeable. In contrast to many places nowadays, there is daily housekeeping service, free in room coffee and hot chocolate, and the room and the place are spotless. My room was very nice with a great king bed, rustic western decorating which is updated nicely. The only flaw was a tub shower unit that was worn, but the bathroom was clean and nice otherwise. The shower, towels and supplied toiletries were very good.
The location across from the National Elk refuge makes for breathtaking views in the morning. There is a bit of highway noise at busier times, but not inside the room. I heard nothing from neighbors or much from outside. The place is well built.
Parking is spacious and easy. The town itself is just a few minutes to the south, and you can turn north on the highway and be to Teton park in no time."
