The location is the only downside for this hotel - it is away from the central city, on the road to Tbilisi. Quite a few locals were staying - maybe they were driving. I was caught in the rain: I turned up looking like a drowned rat and the fellow on reception couldn't have been kinder. He wanted to carry my backpack but it was easier for me to do so: he took me to my room, got the heater working, found a hairdryer and showed me where everything was.
The room had a sofa, a rather large fridge, a single chair but no table apart from the coffee table. It was clean (and very soon, warm), the bed was fine, the wifi was fine and the free breakfast was in the onsite cafe. All in all, the room was great. Nearby, there are a couple of markets (and a huge electronics store), with town a 2-3 km walk and the railway station a bit closer.
