Buen resort en puerto plata

Hotel cuenta con muy buenas instalaciones, el personal muy atento, solo un par de excepciones en los restaurantes de reserva, pero en general muy buen servicio. Las habitaciones ya están un poco viejas y requieren remodelación y definitivamente los colchones requieren cambio, son poco cómodos.

1st and last time!

It was below average. The phone in the room did not work. We reported it and for 6 days it was not working. Tv had no options for english language speaking channels. The hot water did not work when we went to take a shower. Pushing numbers on the safe showed different numbers from what we selected. Mini fridge was not refilled daily. Could not get a bell hop to room to bring luggage down for check out. The food was average at best and not enough variety. Same thing served daily. The beach was nice and the pool. Things in the stores on the property were heavily over priced.

This stay was a nightmare from elms street! First night they didn’t notify me that the outlets are European so I couldn’t charge my phone! The shower was so small in the room that the shower curtain kept sticking to me while I showered! The next morning I find little mini spiders all over my cellphone! And underneath it just crawling around’ I lost my mind, and only to get out of bed and see some in there too! So I went and complained and they changed my room AND CHARGED ME EXTRA for changing my room only to get to the new room and there wasn’t any AC WORKING OR WATER!! It was soooo hot my room was like a sauna ! I couldn’t bare it and on top of this! The power kept going out every hour! Then they changed me to ANOTHER ROOM and the AC worked perfectly fine, but there was still no water ! I needed to brush my teeth and shower and get ready for my day! I was so frustrated at this point, I went and complained! I wanted my money back & they kept avoiding that question! Only to change me to ANOTHER ROOM. All that moving around and moving luggage put me in such a bad mood I decided to go stay somewhere else , but sadly they couldn’t refund me my money! I was so upset with this whole situation, not to mention their food was not the best! It was so gross I barely ate anything on the resort. So moral of the story! BE CAREFUL BEFORE YOU BOOK HERE! I don’t want you experiencing the same thing that I did!

The property is beautiful. The staff is amazingly friendly. The only thing I didn’t like was the food quality. I went to Dominican to have traditional Dominican food but there was none other than just rice and beans and Mangu. I believe there more to that. The drinks are water down and tastes horrible. For a luxury resort they should consider making changes in the food and beverage department. Other than that my husband and I enjoyed our stay.

The food was amazing! The resort is gorgeous, clean and has options for everybody. The entertainment is perfect. Bot much of a big party resort but for that you can go to the resort next door 3 min walk and enjoy that. They had activities and fun stuff everyday and the entertaining team was awesome. Big shout out to Blacky Boy (Hector) he was so nice, fun and very attentive making sure everyone was having a good time!! Way to go Blaky boy!!
