We received a very warm welcome by the staff and offered to help and make our stay very comfortable and enjoyable. Hector assisted with sites to visit and we had several option, which we did started right away. Next day was fabulous and Neil treated us like family and always checking to ensure we have a great time. I truly recommend this location for future visit. The road to get there was first class. We had a great time and thanks to the Mountain Pine Ridge Staff

Staying at the Pine Ridge Lodge was one of the highlights of our whole time in Belize. Neil is an exceptional host with a keen eye for details. Our cabin was beautifully decorated, very comfortable (excellent bed!) and very clean. The grounds are lovely, with many charming touches and walking trails. We were very pleased to learn that the lodge is environmentally aware and solar powered! The food was amazing, we loved every meal and all of the care that Neil put into communicating about the menus and attention to all of our needs and preferences. The location is ideal for exploring the area--we selected this spot so as to be closer to Caracol, Rio Frio cave, Big Rock Falls etc which really saved us a lot of time in the car (rather than traveling all the way from San Ignacio). We later spent one night in San Ignacio and we wish we had just added a 4th night to our stay at Pine Ridge Lodge!

We were so pleased to be in nature, to hear the birds singing and the creek running. The most enjoyable hosts and excellent meals prepared by Neil. I would highly recommend mend this gem up in the Pine Ridge reserve. We shall return.

Fantastic hospitality and the best food we ate in all of Belize! Thank you Neil for great conversation and an absolutely wonderful & memorable stay. Immaculate landscaping and accommodation in the middle of the forest reserve. Beautiful, calming surroundings, with great hammocks, made this a peaceful retreat. Overall 5 star stay!

Pine Ridge Lodge is a very special place run by special people! You are definitely removed from the hustle and bustle of life while here in the beautiful jungle. There are hikes, waterfalls, cooling off in the river, bird watching and so much more.

Nature with a lot of nurturing
A perfect blend of rustic charm and extreme hospitality. The lodge is secreted deep in the reserve, so is not an ideal location for anyone looking for a noisy commercial environment. Neil is the perfect host, friendly and accommodating, while his kitchen proved to be adept at producing great meals. The cottages are in excellent condition and are beautifully outfitted with local art. And if you go, plan on taking a dip in the stream out back. A note that when we were there, a young puma became too curious about Neil's collection of Guinea hens. Somehow, he managed to leash it, and it's now resident at the Belize zoo.

The perfect place and great host
Pine Ridge Lodge is a beautiful place to stay. As soon as you cross the front gate you are treated with beautifully maintained grounds. The rooms are great - very clean, plenty of space and the ensuite shower is very good. Our room was right beside the river in a wonderful setting. There is also an "onsite" waterfall a short walk away! The owner, Neil, is the perfect host - very friendly and helpful. He has put alot of effort into the property, which is obvious from all the small touches such as the decorations in the room and the beautiful flower beds. Chef is brilliant and cooked us up wonderful meals, and Neil knows how to keep the beers cold! It was a total delight to stay here and I would fully recommend it - if I'm ever back in Belize I will definitely be staying here.
