4/10 Fair

We were so excited to spend our honeymoon at Lakeland Village based off of the photos online, it looked incredible with lake front views and a cool loft feel. Upon arrival to the sister property Zalanta Resort where we had to check in for Lakeland we had high hopes, Zalanta looked beautiful. Once we arrived at Lakeland we were met with a ripped up driveway, poor customer service, hallways that were dingy, light fixtures quite literally hanging by the wires from the ceiling, elevators that were questionable, and a less than pleasant hallway smell. Once we were in our room it looked like a discount version of how the photos looked online with practically zero lake viewing. Also the bed was terrible, it felt like sleeping on the springs themselves. We are not the type to ever complain, and always go with the flow, and we made the best of our stay here. All that being said we would never stay here again especially not for the price we paid.

Our room was lovely. Even though we didn’t need it this stay, there was a loft with two extra beds and a bathroom. It would be perfect to bring the kids. Loved being close to the lake. The check in process requires you to go to a second property then come back to this property for the parking pass. It’s not a huge deal but can be time consuming if you are coming in hot on a schedule. Also, this trip, they were tearing up the parking lot, which was loud and left less parking but I assume that will be done soon and not an issue next time.

Unit was clean… It was missing some coffee filters and only had one pack of coffee. Lots of space and resort amenities were good!

6/10 Good

The unit was nicely appointed, and the beds were very comfortable. A few pieces of furniture were old and scratched. It is located in the lodge, not in the village. The lodge is very old and in poor shape. The elevators would go up but not down. It is managed by a different group than most, so you have to check in and have any additional services come from a separate property. They were pleasant and helpful when called.

Not So Great
We had high hopes for this place. We had hoped that it was comparable to Tahoe Beach and Ski Club but it was definitely not. The property itself was really run-down. The screen door did not Glide smoothly, it was very clunky. There were various holes in the walls. The place was in general disrepair. The whole place seemed very dated. The parking was very challenging. Two of us had spiders on our pillows at different times over the weekend. The pool and beach were not very monitored very well. No wrist bands or people keeping the general public out. We encountered two bears during our stay and one was staying under the porch across from us. It was very close. The security guard was there to be sure that everything was ok. That was helpful. We were able to get extra towels from Zalanta down the street. Checkout was simple and easy. I would not stay here again. It was not worth the money.

Ok place to stay
It was nice staying at a location close to the beach with a pool. But it was strange having to check in at a different location than the front desk downstairs. The room we stayed in could use a deep clean and needs some maintenance TLC. Dust falling off the fan, loose faucet and TP holders. Neighbor’s remote could control our fan. It was nice having full loft space and a balcony. Comfortable beds. For how much the HOA is on those condos I thought the property should be in better condition: peeling elevators, pot holes outside. Broken foot washer and shower in the pool area.

This place is great for a family get away. The beach/pool area was excellent. Not handicapped friendly (stairs), only way is going through the garage. This place seems very comfortable for a ski trip during winter!

Very good
Very cool, the only thing left something to be desired was the heating, which wasn't working, I sent a message to the office and they didn't respond and they didn't fix it

2/10 Poor

Disappointed
The place had a broken guardrail up the stairs and a broken towel rack in one of the bathrooms. The carpet had not been vacuumed. The kitcken counters were sticky and there were crumbs on them. Cobwebs throughout property with spiders. Bathrooms and bed sheets were clean.

The location is perfect and the room and property is beautiful. The only problem is the shower. The water is adjusted to warm and when you turn the center dial to release the water from the above shower, it comes out with more hot than cold, It is impossible to adjust. I love this place and will return. Maybe they'll fix the shower problem by then.
