We had a fantastic time with our kids, but it could easily have been a very different story. It’s definitely not the place for a romantic getaway… Pros Great place from families with bigger kids Beautiful spot on beach Never feels crowded Tasteful decor well maintained and well cleaned Nice pools and easy to get to snorkelling, other beaches, launderette and supermarket etc Food is good Cons The room walls are paper thin and our sleep was broken. Our next door neighbour got into a massive argument with their other neighbour over the sound of their small child. Left early - without refund (!) - VERY noisy place

We chose this place because the description had the caption “peaceful” and we needed a place to wind down after a trip to Universal Studios. However - we were unable to sit outside on our patio because of a chaos of children running around screaming and playing all the time - and they were only 1 meter away from the sofa on our patio, where we were supposed to sit and relax- which was absolutely impossible. (We love children and have one with us ourselves, but this was absolutely horrible) Even though we closed the door and went inside (sitting indoors behind closed doors was not the purpose of our stay), we could still hear everything that went on outside and on top of that, you can literally hear every single word, your neighbors are saying in their room next door. Overall impression: Hotel and rooms itself are worn down and in need of both paint and general maintenance - desperately in need of walls with soundproofing in order to provide guests with a minimum of privacy. We ended up leaving 3 nights before we were supposed to (without getting any money back) - that seems to say it all.

Watch for hidden fees!!

While the property was generally as expected, we encountered two major issues that significantly impacted our experience. First, at check-out we were charged an unexpected $60 in parking fees ($30 per night) that were not disclosed at the time of booking. We specifically chose this resort based on the price and the assurance that all resort fees were included in the total quoted by Hotels.com. Being charged an additional amount at check-out felt misleading and unfair. We raised the issue with the front desk, but the resort refused to waive the charges. Had we known about these fees, we would have chosen a different property. Second, on the second night of our stay—our 25th wedding anniversary—we experienced a frustrating situation with our room key. The key suddenly stopped working after hours. Thankfully, my wife was still in the room and was able to let me in. However, this issue meant we were unable to leave the room together as planned. I had to make two separate trips to the front desk, and ultimately waited nearly an hour for a maintenance worker to come to our room and replace the battery in the door lock. This incident disrupted our evening plans to enjoy time together by the water at the resort's dock, which was one of the highlights we were looking forward to. This was a special trip for us, and it was disappointing to have it marred by both unexpected charges and a significant inconvenience on such an important night.

We went for a mother-daughter trip and it was amazing! Everyone that works there could not be any nicer and food was delish! We went in June and were able to find chairs easily every day and found it to be really quiet and restful.

Wonderful accommodations

Isla Bella was incredible! The upgraded room was well worth it and offered an amazing view, ocean access and a lovely tub! Room service was delicious and so was hotel restaurant. I will stay a night here on all future trips to the keys because I had such a great time! Thank you!

Our stay was amazing! The resort is beautiful and they are all about keeping their resort clean. The views and the customer service were fantastic! The only complaint I have is that there are a bunch of hidden fees upon arrival. When I received my final bill after check out I was a little disappointed. What they don’t tell you is there are extra daily resort fees, daily parking fees, daily destination fees, and a bunch of other daily taxes.

The views is the only thing that was amazing. The food wasn’t that good, yet crazy expensive. We had several extremely large bugs in our room. I have over 30 bites even after going to the store to buy off bug repellent. The carpet in the room was sooo nasty I couldn’t walk on it barefoot! Not impressed at all
