no one avable to talk to got email at 9 29 on the 20th telling me to log in we had set off by then i do not have smart phone when i got there i could not get in whithout loging jn then i met the cleaner who with luck found a way to get me in and get my keys worst day of my life never again hotels .com have a lot to anser for bob

Alarm sounding all afternoon followed by electrical reset, no staff on standby at property. Once booked through Hotels.com I was contacted and charged a further £38 for apparent admin and then a pre authorisation of £100 refundable after stay but up to 10 working days later! Never had this before through this site, I would recommend hotels.com remove this property

Please bear in mind this is not a good idea for a hotel. The accomodation is more like a room in an ex hotel that is now run as an apartment. There are no staff on site, no breakfast, no bar and no facilities. This results in a very depressing experience. Prior to the stay you will need to fill in multiple forms from different companies, many with spelling mistakes and crammer errors, they were so bad I thought they were a scam. You also need to provide at least a 100 pound deposit. The only 'staff' available is an angry and rude person on the end of a phone line located at an off shore call centre. There were drunk angry people banging on doors all night and the shower was unusable for the two nights I stayed as no water pressure was available. I'm fairy easy to please but this is an ex hotel that is no run like a hostel and I would personally avoid like the plague, even at the low rates.

Our experience was absolutely awful! We were made to stand outside in the rain whilst awaiting the email for the code to get our key (due to covid, they are using a system where the keys are in lock boxes on the outside of the building and you get a code emailed to you). After waiting for this email for 10 minutes and receiving nothing, we called them and I asked, "What's the problem?". The rude woman on the phone replied with attitude, "The problem is YOU are underage!". I'm 19 years old, and wasn't made aware that I needed to be 21 to book (wasn't stated anywhere). But the best part of it all: I'd already paid £140 for the room and a £100 deposit which was also NOT mentioned before-hand! After finally getting our key and getting out of the rain, we went to our room, which was not cleaned. I called the office again, and they said I could have another room, that was clean. I was done at this point so I just politely asked for a refund. The rude man, who claimed to be the office manager, told me, "You can keep wishing, but you won't get your money back!", as they had offered us a clean room, apparently this meant that I couldn't get a full refund. Then, after trying to speak to the manager on-site (who couldn't manage a babysitting a pet rock) ignored me, told me he couldn't do anything about it, didn't even say sorry. This is all aside from the fact that there's plumbing and heating problems with other rooms and the house-keeping staff said that the management was attrocious.

I waited outside the door for 20 minutes, before receiving an email to send documentation for proof of trip and proof of address before being able to enter the hotel. They had a ridiculous charge for key loss and when I called the man on the phone was rude and it felt like I was being scammed or something. The hotel from the outside did not look clean or safe, and even though it said no smoking, someone was above smoking on a small balcony. Would never stay again.

On arrival we found that the heating in the room did not work, we asked about this but the lady didnt have a clue and was very unhelpful, we then went to take a shower and found we had no hot water at all. Two gentlemen stayed in the next room and talked very loudly from 2am to 5am so overall a very unhappy stay.
