It is a beautiful property with amazing views and a friendly staff to help you out. We didn't see the northern lights when we stayed but if it did come the pictures would have been amazing considering the grounds.

Magnífico
Un lugar idílico, frente al mar y montaña. Puedes pasear por sus prados y sentarte en un banco a ver la puesta de sol. Tienen cafe y te de cortesía todo el día en una magnífica estancia con vistas. Sin lugar a dudas lo recomiendo. Cama muy cómoda, nórdico estupendo y lugar calentito. Sitio ideal para ver auroras

The location of this property was gorgeous. The hotel and grounds were impeccable and inviting. We loved climbing the "tower"( I believe it is a renovated silo) for a bird's eye view of the land and the fjord, and enjoyed being able to walk the expansive property right down to the water. We hope we have a chance to visit again someday!

We went there in a cloud free evening. Just after 01 hour of sunset northern light started. It’s an awesome location to observe the northern lights. The area around the property is also awesome.

Personale gentilissimo, camera dotata di ogni comfort, calda e accogliente. La struttura è in una posizione molto comoda e la vista é spettacolare. Le aree comuni sono ben tenute e c’è la possibilità di godere della zona relax, di giocare a biliardo o a freccette, ci sono anche varie passeggiate che partono dall’hotel e che si possono fare in autonomia. I luoghi dove godere della vista non mancano. Tappa obbligata.

So this hotel was about 15 minute drive NE of Akureyri. If you want to be in the city within walking distance of things, not the place for you. If you want to walk out and see the fjord and mountains in the distance, it's perfect. My twin room is nothing special. Basic, but was clean. Shower had good water pressure. Bed was a little on the firm side, but I slept fine. The amenities were great. Restaurant was really good for both breakfast and dinner. Hote has a free coffee/hot chocolate machine that was basically accessible all day. Pretty much similar to the ones in the gas stations that they charge you 5 bucks for. I'm almost certain I drank my nightly rates worth in that alone. It also has a lower level with a pool table and dart board, etc. If you're with a large group of people and want a space to chill in, it's the perfect set up. Would definitely go back.

This hotel has a lot to offer: from hikes to the shore to hot tub. The rec room saved the day for my family where we played darts and pool. The view of sunset are gorgeous.

Owners really extends hospitality to guests. Pointing out nearby attractions. On site there are walking trails and other amenities. Rooms are thoughtfully equipped for travelers. Great breakfast spread. Even a taste of cod liver oil.
