When we booked our stay, we thought it was directly on the beach from the pictures on the site. Alas, it was not on the beach, but there was beach access nearby. They also happily provide beach chairs, umbrellas, etc. We also borrowed their wagon to haul everything to the beach. There is also no pool. The rooms were spotless, the service friendly and responsive.

Wonderful place
This was our second time staying at the carousel. We loved it there. The owner is very friendly, helpful, and accommodating. The rooms are the cleanest we’ve ever stayed in. Very close beach access. Very close to shopping and dining, many options within easy walking distance. We would definitely stay here again.

I checked in and the fridge was caked with ice in the freezer. It dripped water all over my food in the fridge. Needs to be defrosted. Upon check out, the manager through all my food away. When I left in the morning I packed everything but my laptop and my food. The office was closed. I called to ask for a detailed invoice for my stay, not just a credit card slip. When I arrived my food was thrown in the garbage bins buy select pieces were missing. Suggesting the manager picked through and kept some. She said she thought I had left and forgot my laptop. I had the key, I phoned after she was awake and she had my phone number too. Fighting going on in some suite too.

This older motel has charm. I especially liked the courtyard, set back and totally private from the street and other buildings. The room was clean, nicely laid out, restful decor. My only complaint would be that way too much light comes into the room at night. Morning coffee, restaurants, are in very easy walking distance, and the main street has many pedestrian cross-over lanes. The main feature of the property though is its beach accessibility. While not technically "on the beach" (saving you tons of cash), it is literally just around the corner. I would definitely stay here again.
