Absolutely amazing

This is by far the cleanest place we have ever stayed in, this guest house is immaculate. The host are absolutely brilliant and the service they offer is fantastic. Breakfast is on a different level, everything you could possibly want and the young lad serving us was so smartly dressed and so very polite. Anytime we are going to Ayr again we will definitely be looking to stay here

Lochinver Guest House

From the moment that we booked the room, the correspondence and overall service has been truly fantastic! When we arrived and went to our room, it was immaculately clean, the bed was extremely comfortable and the homemade biscuits were delicious. The breakfast the very next day was fantastic, there was so much choice from the buffet table and the cooked breakfast was packed with plenty of flavour. I felt that Sinclair and his staff were very accommodating, friendly, welcoming and professional and I would certainly recommend his guest house without hesitation.

8/10 Very good

We stayed in the room without an en suite bathroom though the bathroom we had was private to us albeit down a flight of stairs. Both room and bathroom were pretty small. However for the price we paid it was excellent value. Spotlessly clean and a lovely property overall in a quiet location.

Superb

Superb. Sinclair hosts and cooks the best breakfast I have ever eaten. A view shared by the other guests. The room I was in had everything I needed and luxurious touches. These included a bathrobe, large towels. a full size ironing board and high end toiletries. The B&B is in a quiet side street off Racecourse Road and is ideally situated for town and/or racing and dining. I am a very fussy person and was so impressed I have already booked my next stay. Great value for money.

Must stay

Beautiful house with character, host Sinclair was really good on arrival, comfortable room with really comfy chair for sitting whilst doing paperwork later and had an excellent sleep. Breakfast selection was better than any hotel with homemade jams, cooked selections superb.

I had a lovely stay at the guest house! It's a beautiful, cozy house, with charming decoration, helpful staff and lovely details (I loved the complimentary homemade cookies in the room!). My only note would be that the bedroom I was in was not super spacious and its bathroom (separate but easily accessible across the hall) was extremely narrow so not sure how that would work for bigger people or couples. I would stay here again though, especially in this season with the gorgeous trees in bloom in the whole street!

We loved our stay at Lochinver House!

My husband and I really enjoyed staying at Lochinver House. Sinclair, our terrific host, was very helpful before and during our stay. This a is beautiful B&B, on a quiet street in a picturesque Scottish town. The house is beautifully decorated, the rooms very comfortable, and the breakfast delicious. If you’re looking for a quiet place and an authentic Scottish experience, this is it!
