We spent a night at the Moose Inn because we were going to Scarywood at Silverwood Theme Park that evening. The amusement park was a short 15 minute drive away on back roads. We’ll definitely stay again! The room was a great price and allowed our medium sized dog to stay for an extra $30. The dog potty area at the hotel might be good for a little 10lb pup, but I don’t think our dog could even turn around in the tiny little space. There’s some cute little parks down the street we were able to throw frisbee for our dog to stretch her legs. The hotel doesn’t look like much from the outside, but the room was recently remodeled inside and pleasantly clean and comfortable. There is no ice machine on the premises, and the tiny freezer in the fridge wouldn’t have held a 7lb bag of ice from the store even if it wasn’t all frosted over. I noticed a note on Hotels.com that the Inn wants you to call them on the day of check-in, I guess so someone is sure to be in the office when you arrive. It’s a small mom & pop style hotel in a small quaint town and I got the feeling there wouldn’t be an option to contact staff after regular office hours. We travel to Silverwood Theme Park annually and will definitely stay here again when it’s too cold to camp at Farragut State Park.
