We booked 2 rooms. After a couple of hours of checking in I received a call telling me that they needed to move one of our rooms due to a leak. So at the end of our night out the other couple had to collect belongings and move rooms. Once in the new room noticed a paint tray and roller in the bath full of paint! Went back to reception and had to move again! Not really what you want after you’ve already unpacked in your first room then when you’ve been out drinking having to mess about in the early hours. The shower was cold too. Rooms are very nice and other than the move was very comfortable. We got parking for free too as the parking ticket got lost in one of the many room moves

There was a wedding on so unfortunately the roof top terrace was closed which was disappointing being so sunny. Totally would not have been a problem if we hadn’t had to be right underneath the wedding and I mean right underneath. Our room was literally vibrating with the noise and when the music stopped at one we could hear the scraping of all of the furniture being moved until 2. If we were put on the 4th floor or somewhere else it just would have been muffled noise which we could have coped with but it must have been the worst room for it. Would have been better if someone from the wedding was placed there. We rang at

Not what we expected given hotel rating
Not the best first impression and overall a distinctly disappointing stay. No Wi-Fi available in the room and despite three trips to reception to rectify I got the distinct impression it never worked and was getting fobbed off. Coming from overseas we absolutely needed it to find stuff out about the local area so very disappointed. In addition the noise was persistent as the windows didn’t close properly and generally the hotel was very noisy especially Friday and Saturday. The last straw was being challenged on why I didn’t want to complete a survey when I was leaving to catch my flight. I wouldn’t of minded if I was asked but being told to complete a survey was in my opinion a bit rude.
