The room itself was nice but the service from the front desktop the pool bar and outside pool area was awful. The service at the pool bar would’ve been better managed by 5 year olds and it wasn’t even busy. They had no chairs because they were broken for the pool area and the pool attendant wouldn’t let anyone move anyone non lounge chairs around to the sun even though they didn’t have enough chairs. It was by far one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had on the beach or otherwise. If it weren’t for the room itself, I would’ve left zero stars.

Great place to stay! Unfortunately, the area just South of the pier has become a bit less desirable than in the past. However, the Edge was just far enough away.

Customer service at it’s worst

For a town that thrives on tourism, I would’ve expected much better customer service! While dealing with an issue at check in and getting nowhere with Bailey who turned out to be an actual manager, we had to pay for our stay in full, and wait until the following day to speak with the head manager, Chris. Mind you, Bailey had him on the phone while we were trying to resolve our issue and he refused to speak with us until the following day. We were never greeted warmly, received any apologies for our inconvenience or even got eye contact from the management. Very disappointing because we did like the property and the location. The rest of the staff: bar tenders, housekeeping and pool staff were phenomenal and the only positive to our experience!

Edge Hotel 2021

Nice hotel, a little pricey but it was spring break week. Room was clean & quiet. I enjoyed the balcony.

Pool views are priceless!

Everything was great! Items to consider for improving: pillows were a bit small and flat. Long wait at reception counter at times. Hotel is resurfacing the pool tile to address some slippery spots. Hotel is nice and ran well. Views from the pool are priceless!

Very disappointed !!

No one told us there would be no room service. We called front desk twice asking for towels and toilet paper - no one showed. we had to hunt down someone to get toilet paper and towels. The hotel had no bottled water for 2 days. we had to run down the street to gas station to get water. Pool bar was closed most of our stay and restaurant was closed, made to wear a wristband while we at the pool. We were told Jimmys at Holiday Inn was owned by same and that we would get a discount for breakfast. The service at Jimmy's was terrible. Waited 20 minutes to get a table ( restaurant was empty) and then 30 minutes to get a waitress. Worst stay ever !

We chose the Edge for a short family vacation stay in Clearwater. When choosing this or any hotel we usually base our decisions on several things, one being breakfast is included and that there is a restaurant on site. This hotel boast both of these amenities..... This is false information, breakfast is pre packaged muffins, pastries, etc. and bad coffee (which we were told is because of covid, so they should change the description) and the "restaurant" is actually a "bar that serves food", that's a quote from the bar manager. Which would not have been terrible if you could actually get a server to acknowledge you. The room was clean, average, with not enough towels for a family of 4 and the bath sink didn't fully shut off. Overall it certainly was not the family friendly experience we hoped for.
