This hotel has the special feature that instead of a normal key, you're supposed to use a secret code to get in. Despite the hotel's assurances that I would receive that code the day before arriving, I had to call them four times from the airport on the day of my arrival before they would tell me the code. This was extremely stressful, and no one ever acknowledged my multiple messages and voicemails.
The location is nothing fancy, it's kind of a run-down looking stretch of street but it's a short walk from the Canal Street streetcar and there are a few restaurants and bars nearby.
The room itself was... okay. Like the tagline says, it's really a no-frills hotel. There's a bed and a bathroom and a shower. It was clean, I guess. The floor in front of the toilet was always a little damp, I think it might have been seeping from somewhere? There were no facial tissues in the room, and when I requested some, I was given an extra roll of toilet paper instead.
I stayed here because everything in town was super pricey, and it was the least expensive option available. Next time, I'll spend the few extra dollars to stay somewhere nicer.
