From the first entry into Riad, the key feature is the impression of past grandeur, antiques around but above all, a family feel from the time we entered. We felt immediately comfortable in the presence of the owners (Ahmed, his daughter and little baby granddaughter). Our room was on the top floor (no lift being 300-400-year-old property) but Ahmed helped us with taking the luggage up (despite being in his 60s) and explained everything. Our suite was comfortable (sitting are, two bedrooms and bathroom), nicely decorated. The roof is high with plenty of windows. It could do with one or two wardrobes (for hanging and tidying clothes). We did not even switch the TV on as no time.
The property is in Sale which is different town than Rabat the property is in old part but I loved it as I felt so homely here. The key thing that make our stay so comfortable and enjoyable was the host. They are so helpful and go extremely out of the way to genuinely help. There was an issue with hot water due to faulty battery, and Ahmed just sorted it outwithin minutes. He gave us all the information about local sightseeing. The terrace is beautiful and relaxing. Ahmed and his daughter helped us with local Hamam/Massage which was absolutely authentic (not rip-off like in resorts sometimes). We used their kitchen like our own and shared recipes.
One can not go wrong with this property as long as you go with mindset that it is a traditional Riad and not a resort and it is completely a family affair.
