This property exceeded my expectations and their photos do not do it justice! We realized we were booking a more budget hotel, but the property and service was incredible. Rooms were very basic but comfortable beds and great AC. There is very minimal storage in the room but we brought a few hooks and it was fine. The pools are gorgeous but the hot tubs could be warmer. Restaurant was so good, I loved the grilled chicken and guaro sours were the best we had in Costa Rica. We noticed a tour place right next store but had already booked our tours through another company. Property is just on the outskirts of town, could be walkable depending on if you are ok walking 10 minutes or so. El Salto is a free swimming hole with a rope swing and maybe a 3 minute walk. My only recommendation is to make the lobby more visible. We arrived at night and had a hard time finding it since there wasn’t a sign. We had a fabulous stay and will definitely be back!!!

Our casita was like a duplex casita whereby we could hear our immediate neighbors snoring, coughing, and talking because of thin walls. There was no doorknob on our door, where the key was required to either open or close/lock the door. In the casita there were no face cloths or dish cloths even though there is a kitchenette. On the showerhead there was an electrical wire going to the showerhead with exposed wires, so we did not have a shower. The grounds, pool and restaurant were all well maintained and the staff were very friendly.

We loved how clean and well kept the property was. We noticed they drained and cleaned the pool twice in our 7 day stay which is amazing. The restaurant is convenient and the food is good, however we were hoping to see the swim up bar open, as we were in the pool and hot tubs daily. Staff is very friendly and helpful. I loved the creek type area behind our room, it made a nice background sound and was lovely to fall asleep to! The greenery and plants around the hotel were all very beautiful as well! Thanks for having us!

The grounds and pool were very pretty and well maintained. Loved the little bubbling brook through the garden. The free breakfast had 3 choices that were all yummy. If you plan to cook in your kitchen there is a hot plate, microwave and coffee pot. Very limited kitchen but doable. Only complaint was no curtain over kitchen window so could not walk from bedroom to bathroom without being seen. Had to throw clothing on to go to bathroom or give the suites across the walkway a show. Good value god your money.

Very peaceful and beautiful property. Loved the pools and gardens surrounding the area. Also appreciated how quiet and private hotel is. Staff are friendly and helpful and the restaurant on site was very convienient. Would definetily recommend.

Nice family owned hotel with good facilities. Good pool area and restaurants prices are good. Breakfast is quite boring, three courses to choose from. Rooms are very basic, a bit worn down. The surroundings are nice, the garden very green and has view to the volcano. Service in the reception was excellent, wonderful female receptionist.

Beautiful property, friendly staff, great location. Bare bones accommodation. Adequate amenities but the house we stayed in seemed unfinished. Poor lighting, no door handle, missing tiles, missing curtains,bare walls. AC worked great.

Lugar tranquilo, silencioso, mucha vegetación, piscinas calientes y frías, restaurante en el lugar. Personal muy gentil. Comida deliciosa. Habitación amplia con refrigerador, agua caliente, toallas para piscina, aire acondicionado y wifi. El detalle fue una de las camas muy ruidosas.

If you book a room with multiple beds, you’re going to be put in one of the funky units at the top of the property, away from everything else. The room we stayed in could only be locked with a deabolt using the key and the renovation job wasn’t great. These are not the rooms shown on the website and we heard loud bangs outside our room every night around 10pm. Sounded like gunshots but not sure. Pool was pretty nice, small and shallow grotto-style that our little one could stand up in. Staff was nice.

Beautiful grounds, great food, the chef is very passionate. The hot tubs were very comfortable but the pool water was too chilly for us, not many people used it because of the low water temperature. Also,we stayed in an attached room and could hear every conversation the neighbors had. Overall however we had a pleasant experience.
