Lovely old building and very grand rooms...very friendly owners

Hotel management were simply superb, couldn’t have been more friendly or helpful!

It was so nice to stay in such a unique hotel with so much character. The owner was very helpful and welcoming.

The hotel was very nicely renovated and beautifully decorated to fit the historical theme that the whole city carries, but regardless of this, it did not feel old and worn out. The staff was also lovely and made sure that the stay on Valentine’s Day was the best it could have been.

Everything about Hotel Lucca was spectacular: the accommodation, the service, the experience. Hans made us feel like we were welcome guests in his home. A wonderful experience.

We will be definitely staying at Hotel Lucca on any future visits to Bruges. Excellent value and facilities and very fiendly staff/owners.

Definitely stay here if you travel to Bruges. The location is great; on a relatively quiet street but only a 5-minute walk from the center of town. Our room was large and lovely and inexpensive (might change in season; we were there in January). The actual building is centuries old and has old world charm. But the best part of this hotel is the owner/operator. This is a small family owned hotel and the owner provides a local flavor that you don’t want to miss. He met us at the door when we arrived at 8pm. The hotel was not busy and he spent a lot of time talking to us about Bruges, Belgium and lots of other topics. He gave us good advice about our visit and even a list of his favorite things to see in Amsterdam, our next stop. Breakfast is in a room from the 14th century, and was a lovely spread. The light in our room was a bit dim for reading and we could have used a box of tissues, but nothing small will detract from your good feelings about this hotel. You will feel immersed in the old world charm of Bruges at Hotel Lucca. Try to be in town on a Wednesday for the weekly market in the main square.

The best part of our holiday was our stay at the Hotel Lucca. This beautiful hotel Is full of history and beautiful music. We very much enjoyed a delicious breakfast in a room from the fourteenth century that is so relaxing. Hans and Regene have put so much attention to detail to make this historic home a truly remarkable experience.
