Very safe as they have onsite gated parking, the rooms are well kept. Excellent breakfast ! And the good part for us was the bar next door to get a few drinks after a long harrowing drive in the dark on rt 1 after leaving the airport with no luggage do to it being lost in transit. A nice stopping point on the way from point A to point B.

When we arrived at 1 am there was some sort of block party going on in the main front building. Loud music and about 50 people. But once we got back into the compound to our room, we couldn't hear much. Breakfast was delicious and not too pricey. Beds were a little hard but we found that was normal at all the hotels we stayed at in Costa Rica. Definitely a nice hotel for a stay in Canas.

Pleasant, non-“touristy” urban hotel
Modest, clean, comfortable hotel in downtown Las Canas. Family-owned and operated; owner’s young adult daughter (pleasant and helpful) staffed the front desk; extended family dined in the hotel dining room (good food, fairly priced, breakfast included with room). Secured parking, convenient location just off main Costa Rica Highway (Route 1).

Upgrades needed
The staff were very attentive, and the hotel common areas (restaurant, swimming pool) are clean, old and nice. The rooms were clean, the air conditioning works well and the parking garage is secure and handy. The rooms needs serious upgrade: beds are uncomfortable and mattresses were sinking in places. The showers were pathetic, the shower head needs to be replaced, the door of the shower would not be closed. The food in the restaurant is terrible. The swimming pool was clean and in good shape.
