The hotel and suite were great. We loved the room. However, the employee at the front desk was not friendly or welcoming at all. When we approached the front desk, the first thing he said, instead of welcoming us, was, "you do know there is a $75 pet fee". We had our 8 pound shipoo with us. Most hotels won't even charge for him because he is a tiny non-shedding dog and especially because we were only staying overnight. But fine. It was the tone and the first thing out of his mouth. Second thing he said, was, "this IS an extended stay hotel, so we don't serve breakfast". The tone was like "so why are you here?" Or that we were somehow there for a free breakfast. I am a long term IHG traveler and have never before been met with this type of welcome.
