Prior to booking the reviews I read were excellent,only stayed one night and just as well. At first glance the room looked cozy and it was warm, on closer inspection the carpet wasn’t vacuumed, the toilet needed a clean and toaster had crumbs. Too expensive paid $136 a night with no breakfast.

Scottsdale's disappointment
From arrival and reading "press the button" with a choice of four buttons this property proved a disappointment. With all the bits and pieces locked away (COVID!) the property suddenly became very basic. Then we found our room quite dirty and infested with ants. Organised breakfast for 8:30am then got a call at 8:05am to say it would be ready in 10 minutes. Room was supposedly soundproofed (double glazed) but building entry door was noisy with comings and goings. Quite disappointed and glad to drive on.

We had a fantastic stay! Owner Tony was amazing. He went out of his way to make us feel welcome and enjoy our stay. Our accomodation was well-equipped, clean and comfortable. It was walking distance to Scottsdale and nature walks across the road. We would highly recommend for a place to stay when travelling through beautiful north/ east Tasmania.
