Very nice and very comfortable place to stay
Robyn, 1-night trip

About what you would expect from a older style pub stay. We only stayed one night while on a road trip so it worked well for us. Limited parking on site at the moment due to new construction at the rear of the property.

Very welcoming..let me in early after full days travel from Brisbane. Happy and helpful staff throughout. Great town to stay in..good facilities, great access to bush walks, helpful, friendly people. Hotel food had good choices too!

6/10 Good

Great budget option for travelling into Sydney for the evening. 1hr 20min train trip to your door. Very basic but comfortable room. Lovely coffee shop for breakfast downstairs. Good parking.
Carole, 2-night trip

8/10 Very good

Great value, nice hotel with lots of facilities near-by. Secure parking with access to accommodation and the street without going through hotel. Quiet for pub style acc. with little noise from pub, street or train line. Great food at reasonable prices. Room was cozy with opening windows, heater, fan, extra blankets, TV, wardrobe, tea/coffee kettle and ensuite bathroom. Comfy bed however may be short if your 6' plus.

Average stay

Room was average. Big bathroom. Bed was not comfortable. The room was not cleaned properly. Had tobacco and other sort of GVM left in the draws That were not cleaned. I think morw attention to detail with cleaning would have been better.
Joshua, 2-night trip

6/10 Good

There isn’t any air conditioning and the ceiling fan squeaks. The shower rose and the basin tap both leaked and couldn’t be turned off sufficiently to stop it from leaking .
Susan, 1-night trip

The room was pretty grimy and the bathroom had blood on the e walls. I trod on a tiny glass shard that was in the carpet!! Wouldn’t recommend
Ruth, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

The room was hot and the window was open when I arrived on a 38 degree day which made it unbearable to stay in. I closed the window and went downstairs for a refreshing ale. After a while I went back up and closed the window and put the fan on (as I knew there was no air conditioning. There was no fridge in the room so couldn’t have a cool drink. I would not stay here again and would not recommend it.

4/10 Fair

Our family room was essentially a room with a double bed and a creaky bunk for the kids in a small room with a tiny en-suite. The rooms haven’t been updated since the 80’s and there was a heavily soiled mattress stored under the bunks. The furniture in the shared area was dated and damaged, the room smelt strongly of ciggies as our family room was above the local pub smoking/outdoor drinking area so not a lot of sleep was had on the weekend. Linen was clean. We booked because this was the cheapest stay in the region and it showed - I won’t make that mistake again!! A plus was that it was close to shops as rooms accessed the Main Street of the town.

Run down. Very noisy disco. Signage poor.
Andreas, 2-night trip

8/10 Very good

Good place to stay, clean and staff were friendly. Rooms could use an update.
Chris, 2-night trip

8/10 Very good

Noisy at night owing to late drunk patrons - needed ear plugs to be able to sleep. No air conditioning, so I wonder how the room would be heated in winter.
Anthony, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

Well situated close to shopping, parking and train station. Shared balcony overlooking the township. Has on suite accommodation, unusual for a local hotel. Being close to train station means coal trains all night quite noisy.
Frank, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

NICE but over priced

Well overall it was an ok stay. Very hot night and day, with no relief in the room. This one slipped by me, for the price, nit worth it, not a bad room, but no air conditioner was an absolute decider for me, i don't recommend in summer at all!
Michael, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

The room was clean and comfortable. Good value for the money. When booking you must remember it's a pub on a Saturday night It wasn't that bad considering. Would stay again
Cheryl, 1-night trip

2/10 Poor

The fire alarm in the common area kept going off intermittently every couple of hours throughout the night.. was an absolute joke
Neil, 2-night trip
