Dive hotel
This motel is very old. The entire floor is vinyl flooring. Some is coining open high traffic area. I spill some water when we got there so I grabbed a bathroom towel to wipe it up. The towel case back black. The room has an ice size frig and stove/oven. Theo en was filthy. The top of the stove was greasy. Noting is provided to wipe or clean. There are a few cooking pans. No plates, drink ware or utensils. No dish soap to wash or clothes or towels. The entry is directly from outdoors. There was a 3/4 inch gap under the door. At 16 deg outside it made for a chilly breeze. One of the ceiling lights would only go one if the wall switch was giggled just right. May be a fire hazard.

Good enough for a place to spend the night. Mostly clean. Staff didn't go out of their way to make you feel comfortable.

1950's hotel beautifully kept modern enough
Was an amazing stay I seriously believe the hotel is from the 50's but it's very well maintained clean and warm, my only thought was my neighbor was Ozzy and Harriet!! If you're looking for a modern place with the old feel I recommend it.

Inexpensive, clean, dog friendly ……only draw back was that the room had no heat. The room stayed at a balmy 43 degrees.

Couldn’t check in at 3:00 because there was no attendant. Didn’t show up until after 5:00 Musty smell, uncomfortable beds, hole in at least one pillow.

I found the H&H Motor Lodge to be a perfect place to lodge before heading into the mountains the next morning and to beat the ski traffic along the I-70 corridor. The rooms was clean and comfortable, and Idaho Springs is quite walkable. The Lodge is also conveniently located near a Safeway grocery store and within easy walking distance to shops/restaurants.

Horrible comfort - hard bed and flimsy pillows
The room was tiny, the inside of the toilet was not clean, the bed was horribly hard and the pillows were flimsy. We would not choose to stay here again.

Never again.
The hotel was nothing like the pictures on the website. Rooms are very small. I could barley use the toilet because the bathroom was tight. Lady at check in was incredibly rude. Not very helpful. I had to call the hotel Person I talked woth was once again incredibly rude. I travel a lot for business. I never been treated so badly. I would not recommend anyo e to stay at this hotel

Way Outdated, Deteriorated, Find Other Options
This is an older property which has not been maintained or updated. It is deteriorated and unsatisfactory. The room doors are old, flimsy, and secured by inadequate "mechanical" locks which outlived their use by dates many years ago. These are old house type units that were cheap when new and not adequate even when new for commercial use. Now? The key for room 32 also opened room 31. Heating is from floor units which are slow to respond. In one of our two units, the floor heating was broken and we had to use the window unit, which, in fairness, did provide adequate heat. The parking lot is rough, IMHO needs a repave. Or maybe that's "normal" with the substantial winters in this area? There isn't any system for a wake up call, that's DIY. There isn't any breakfast. Etc. I felt sorry for the desk clerk. She mentioned that new ownership plans to make repairs and update the property. Until then, I suggest you find other options.

Just OK
This hotel is okay. I paid a little over $100 for a night. It is clean, but it didn't feel very secure as there was only a doorknob with an actual key, and no deadlock. Lots of noise because you park right in front of your room. The towels were just a bit larger than hand towels--they definitely need to upgrade those!

Fantastic place to stay when you need a quick getaway! We are locals and love staying here while we visit the hot springs. The people at the desk are so nice, check-in and out are super easy, and the beds are very comfy. They recently updated the rooms and kept the prices the same, thank you for doing that! We'll always stay here!

Port in a Literal Storm
H & H Lodge was minimal in style but super comfortable. The room was cozy and the mattress was begging me to stay asleep, of course I obliged. The rest of the room was as you’d expect. There was a desk, a chair, fridge, and a television. H&H is located a very scenic walking distance from Safeway grocery store and a hot springs. Main Street is wonderful. Staff at the H&H are friendly and sincere. I would stay again.
