Clean & quiet.
This is the 2nd time I've stayed at the Palms & both times the pine sol smell was over powering & burned my eyes most of the nite. Other than that it was clean, quiet the heater worked well. Due to the smell I may have to find another motel in Gila Bend. The check in was quick & manager was very nice.

The hotel is very run down. Several lights didn’t work and the toilet leaked. Very load next to a railroad track and a highway with trucks the AC was a very loud wall not with little modulation

Clean, quiet and good value.
This is a very basic 1960s roadside motel that has been kept up and gently renovated over time. It is family owned and it shows love and care. The rooms are basic but scrupulously clean, and very quiet and comfortable. There is a small microwave, individual coffee maker, and a larger refrigerator/freezer than usual in such units. The bathroom is clean and has soap and shampoo provided. (No hair dryer, but you really don't need one in the desert.) The air conditioning unit is a bit noisy but perfectly adequate. We did not use the pool so I can't report on that. For food options, there is a pizza place not far away with decent pizza and Italian options (and a signed letter from Prince Harry, who visited during his training at the nearby air base), a Mexican restaurant, and the Space Age Lodge for breakfast. The Palms has a coffee maker and a small refrigerator with yogurt, apples, and cereal for their breakfast offerings. This is the second time we have stayed here. It's comfortable, quiet and excellent value for the money.

Room was ok for it being part of an older property. The free breakfast was minimal. The main issue with the stay is I booked the room in advance through Hotels.com. At checkout the office person said he didn’t receive my payment even though my credit card account showed it was paid. Rather than pursuing payment from the third party, I was charged a second time for the room. I was told the second charge would be refunded within 2-3 business days. It’s been over a week and I’ve not received the refund.

Great budget option
This was a great option to rest during our trip. Clean and comfortable room for the night. Fresh coffee with donuts available in the morning. Other similar complementary options available. Friendly service. Dog friendly. Do not stay here if you are expecting a high end experience on a tight budget with most up to date modern decor or if you are a light sleeper. Do your research before complaining about this motel being on the main road and having a hard time sleeping or not up to your 10/5 stars standards. Some of these reviews are ridiculous.

Nice hotel. Front desk gentleman was very pleasant. Rooms were basic but very clean. Older hotel that is in really good shape. Nice for an overnight to recharge the batteries.
