Not Exceptional, But Not Bad At All! Good & Cheap
After reading some negative reviews, I was skeptical of my upcoming stay, but I found that our room was adequately clean and the service was straight forward without any issues. They were even understanding when we stayed past our check-out time. I ran into no issues staying here, and was not displeased with anything. My SO was spooked during the night though, as the bathroom lights were flickering a little bit. Personally, nothing stood out to me that would have made my stay a bad experience. Overall, a pretty good spot to stay if you're looking for somewhere cheap!

Unacceptable conditions!
We didnt even stay at the property. Upon walking in, there was a musty smell to the whole property. Everything was run down, outdated and appeared unkept. Our room was filthy. The first thing we did was turn down the bed spread to find what appeared to be bed bugs, long hairs and possibly dried blood stains. Completely unacceptable!! We immediately went back to the front desk, where the young man working was apologetic, saying he refunded my stay and said he would address with housekeeping but still…gross! I have yet to see my promised refund post.

You get what you pay for
Trying to find a hotel in Columbia for under $125 gave us only one option. There were bags of trash in the hallway, barely enough towels, lights didn’t work, water damage on the ceiling & wall, fixtures pulling out of the drywall & the “breakfast” area in the lobby was disgusting. Lesson learned. Spend the extra money & stay on the nice side of the railroad tracks.

Worst hotel ever!!
This hotel was horrible. At check in, we were given 2 rooms that had not been cleaned. The 3rd room had what appeared to be blood splattered on the ceiling, walls and curtains. Hotel workers did not care about the issues we had. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone.

DO NOT STAY HERE! I reserved at the Gallus Stadium Hotel for a USC football weekend. The location was very close to the stadium and the price seemed reasonable compared to other hotels for a busy weekend. Other ratings seemed decent. While our expectations were low, the Gallus turned out to be the lowest of the low (I would award zero stars if it was an option). When checking in, the lobby was cluttered and messy. The parking lot had a lot of trash and debris, along with faded plastic flowers. A sign was posted with a number to call to check in. The front desk clerk (who was also cleaning rooms) came right away, assigned a room that was ready. That room smelled like smoke. I summoned the front desk again, another person responded and got me a room that didn’t smell. The view out the window showed the other, even messier side of the parking lot. We discovered the in-room refrigerator wasn’t working, reported it to the front desk, and it was never corrected (so we wasted food as a result). The safety latch on the door from the room to the hallway had one of two metal supports missing and probably wouldn’t have done the job if needed in an intruder situation. The entrance from the lobby to the 1st floor hallway was gross, with the door to the laundry room open, showing damaged walls and floors. We had to ask for fresh towels twice on the second day of our stay. Finally, and beyond the hotel’s control, the use of weed by guests smelled up the entire hotel.

Do not stay here!!! Whatever reviews are on this site are not legitimate because this place was horrible! So dirty in my daughter’s room that they had to ask for a new one because there was bottle caps all over the place, dirty sheets, a hole in the wall, pee on the toilet, the list goes on. Our room wasn’t as bad, but definitely the type of place you don’t want to take your shoes and socks off to walk around on the carpet. The elevator snd hallways smelled of pot the whole time and almost closed on us several times it was so unsafe. There is no soundproofing between rooms and we heard every single thing from the hallway and adjoining rooms constantly. The whole facility as a whole is worn down and dirty and in ill repair. The breakfast is laughable, there is dry cereal, and milk and yogurt, coffee machine was broken, only orange juice the first day but not the rest of our time… Just plan on eating at McDonald’s or Starbucks every morning. Or just do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else!
