Very Fraudulent, Very Rude!
This was the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. I booked a stay at Extended Stay America Shreveport through Hotels.com for Aug. 29–31 to attend a funeral. While driving in from Atlanta for her funeral, I got a call from a woman (who refused to give her name) saying she canceled my reservation because it was through a third party and she “didn’t have to honor it.” She called at 5:57 p.m.—three minutes before the cancellation deadline—leaving me stranded in Louisiana with nowhere to stay during a major college game weekend. By the grace of God I found another room, but then discovered the hotel still charged me in full despite denying me service. When I called back, the same woman lied and blamed Hotels.com, but my bank clearly shows “Extended Stay #8035 Shreveport, LA.” Only after speaking with the manager did I get confirmation of a refund. This property is unprofessional, dishonest, and predatory. Canceling on a grieving family, refusing to give a name, lying about charges, and then taking payment anyway is shameful. I will never stay at Extended Stay America again, and I strongly warn others to avoid this location at all costs.
