Perfect for couples

Lovely boutique inn with associated vineyard and tasting rooms. Staff were very friendly and helpful, and the room was beautifully presented. Breakfast also great. Only word of advice would be to pack some earplugs (for our room at least) as the airconditioner intermittently sounded like a jumbo jet staring up!

Beautiful hotel in a peaceful setting. The room includes wine & appetizers in the afternoon, dessert and wine in the evening, a gourmet breakfast and a bottle of wine on your room. Amazing place with great amenities. We can’t wait to return with a group of friends.

SummerWood Inn

SummerWood was the perfect place for a group of friends to stay. We felt as though we were staying in someone's home. The staff was warm, friendly and efficient. The breakfasts were delicious. The location was close to all the wineries we visiting. We all give it an A+.

This was such an incredible experience it's hard to keep this short. I booked this for my husband's birthday and was nervous because I had not stayed at the SummerWood before. First, everyone who works there is amazing. When I booked, they didn't have the room I was hoping for (room 6 because of the view - but listen, all of the rooms pretty much have a great view), so they upgraded us to an even bigger room. Already a great start. We had the 3rd floor to ourselves with our own private deck and a view of their vineyard from all parts of the room. Second, they called me a couple weeks before our trip to see if I wanted balloons, champagne, chocolate covered strawberries, or anything else to welcome the bday celebration. So thoughtful and they actually did all of it, complimentary. How incredible!!! 2 huge balloons, champagne, strawberries + such a sweet note. The room was beautiful and the bathroom was amazing with a huge free standing tub and large shower. The chef's breakfast that came with our stay was fantastic, the chef literally cooks for you based on what you want in this amazing big rustic farm kitchen. Plus the evening appetizers and wine tasting included with your stay are AMAZING. One night we got back to the hotel late so the guy at the front desk made us a TO GO CONTAINER of all the appetizers in case we were hungry later on and we ate every bite in our room. He also saved us wine - red and white!! The house manager & everyone who works there are 5 stars +!

This is a decent hotel adjacent to a very high class winery. It lacks a restaurant for dinner/supper and that is the problem. People were truly nice. The welcome nibbles and glass of wine were great as was the hand prepared breakfast, but the absence of local walkable paths , gym or swimming poll force the guests to drive-highly unwelcome after a long day's drive. It may be that this is a problem that the owners need to fix. Otherwise I would certainly recommend.
