The perfect break

We had not realised the beauty of the Mary Valley until this visit. We were welcomed personally by Ken & Cathy and immediately felt at home with their warmth and enthusiasm to make our stay as perfect as possible. The scenery from our room was beautiful, the bed was comfortable, and the facilities clean and tidy. We were served breakfast on the deck outside our room at a time of our convenience overlooking a brilliant mountain view. The property itself has been created by the owners to showcase the views, and it is large, with a duck pond and wonderful gardens. There are also cottages available. We could not have been happier with our stay at Amamoor Homestead and will certainly be recommending it to friends and family. The friendliness of Ken and Cathy only added to our enjoyment.

We enjoyed our overnight stay at the homestead. The bed in the Amamoor suite was very comfortable and the suite itself was impeccably clean. The huge veranda, with private seating areas adjoining our suite, provided a nice place to relax and enjoy the views. The home-cooked dinner and breakfast were delicious. Mary Valley is worth a visit and this BNB provided a perfect place for a weekend get-away.

I booked an overnight stay at Amamoor Homestead for my parents as a Christmas gift, I also accompanied it with Mary Valley Rattler tickets which departed from Amamoor. This was a fabulous/easy trip to plan and would highly recommend the Homestead. My parents informed me that they were extremely friendly hosts and the location was fabulous. They did tell me that they wished they had spent more time and spotted some Koalas. Thank you for making their visit to Amamoor so relaxing!

Tranquil comfortable and friendly

My wife and I stayed here overnight rather than staying in Gympie and we were glad we did. Ken was friendly and generous - the cottages have great little complimentary extras like milk butter jam cereal salt and pepper. Fresh from the garden mandarins too. It has a microwave, full size fridge and twin electric hot plate. TV recliner chairs and dining table in the kitchen and on the patio. We also enjoyed a fire outside and paid $10 for a good sized bag of wood that is pre-prepared and available right next to the cottage. We enjoyed a walk in the property and sitting on the patio and in the garden enjoying the sun and birds. At night we had an awesome view of the Milky Way and a great star-filled night sky. The bed was comfortable and the cottage was very clean. Only negative would be the pillows - they were very uncomfortable because they were too hard and thick and I resorted to folding a towel rather than using the pillows.
