Friendly pub
The staff were very friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. There is a car park on site. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast was very good too. I had poached eggs and salmon on toast. The only thing we could moan about is the shower not being very powerful! All in all we enjoyed our stay!

Upon arrival they insisted we pay extra for the 3rd person even though i paid for 3 adults at the time of booking. Also the shower was a trickle both at night and in the morning. When mentioned they said this was to be expected in an old property!

No check in!
Didn’t happen as couldn’t see anyone that morning- before evening planned stay - I wanted to advise possible late check in. Couldn’t get into hotel c8.30am - no one serving breakfast- no one visible! That evening I was delayed with train problems and arrived c10pm. Doors all locked- I saw a member of staff in bar through a window, which I knocked on - no response. Eventually I decided to drive home.

Great Breakfast!
One night stay to attend a function being held at the pub. The room was small but comfortable and it had everything I needed. It was immaculately clean and the bed was comfortable enough. I found the green safety light in the room a bit bright but otherwise the room was perfect. I could hear other people moving around in the morning …but to be expected in an old property such as this . The cooked breakfast was really good and the staff were so lovely. I would definitely stay here again .

Reasonable Pub Accommodation
It is a pub which offers accommodation. Room was okay, bathroom was small. There was no hot water at the washhand basin. Breakfast was good (thanks Jake). If you want an inexpensive stay it was fine (but do sort the hot water).

Pleasant stay but room needed some issues fixing
Room very small and had a few issues which we were advised they knew about when we reported them, but would have been useful to know on check-in. Shower knob broken, some light switches didn’t work, sink plug not working. Food in the bar and breakfast were very good and staff were very friendly and helpful.
