Wonderful historic property

I have stayed here several times. It is one of my favorite hotels because of its character. It is an historic property located in Hot Springs Park and thus part of the park’s history. Nice rooms and good breakfast as well.

A very special hotel.

We were celebrating our anniversary in Wyoming. We were surprised and delighted when we arrived to find this lovely historic hotel. Not only was the hotel historic the renovation of the property was excellent, the design of the room was great, loved the setting by a river and a train track. The hotel is actually located on the grounds of a state park, the grounds were green and restful. Although we live in Colorado we would go back, just to stay in this hotel.

Bugs everywhere in the room. Curtains were full of bugs and moths. Floor was filthy. The hot tub mineral tub was good.

The history and location of the building was good, and we liked our big room and pool/hot tub area. Comfy bed. Unfortunately it was 90 degrees when we were there, and the room never did cool down. The extra portable air conditioner was appreciated but VERY loud. Slept with a pillow over my ear all night.

The property is an old building from 1917, which means needs some work specially in the pool area. Keep it clean and less stuff around the pool. The hot spring hot-tub was nice ! It feels good in my old bones, specially after driving for long time. I like the bed and pillows but it wasn’t my husband’s favorite. He thinks the bed was too small! Breakfast was good! And the stuff was nice!
