excellent staff: just wonderful, so sweet and did not hesitate to help with Everything. good location, gym and pool

This is a great hotel and very convenient since it's in the heart of Merida downtown, just two blocks away from the main plaza and to everything you might want, restaurants, bars, etc, service was great and we only had a few issues with the AC but they gave us another room and it worked great

This is a fantastic hotel in the very centre of the city everything is very accessible and the staff and Bell boys are very friendly. Highly recommended

Dear Expedia team and Travellers*************** -PLEASE AVOID SCAMS in GAMMA, el Castellano MERIDA.- The LADY MANAGER WAS ABSOLUTELY RUDE AND AWFUL. SHE WAS VERY INTIMIDATING, STUBBORN, IMMATURE AND SELFISH. Unfortunately I left because she was VERY VICIOUS when I was asking a late check out around 6pm ( I did my checkin at 11am), BECAUSE THEY WERE OFFERING a GROUP convention plus a Sweet16 XV QUINCEANERA PARTY. so it was really crowded and dangerous with the 2020 pandemic. ALSO 2 SECURITY GUYS stole $9,360USD from my language and room. I am reporting this to Yucatan police, to follow investigations. I will be very please to let you know further details and proof of everything! Clearly, they did not follow covid19 disinfectant policies. So I am very worried about my health going back home to Canada for myself and my elderly family members. They are attempting send us to a hospital with #Covid19. I LEFT THE PREMISES having a frightening, overawing, threatening eXPERIENCE by the Management STAFF. Grupo posadas, el castellano IS NOT what it used to be! Very very disheartening actually because all the other staff, cleaners, maintenance and bellboys were absolutely marvellous. Hope you can avoid this experience for the next travellers. Clean facility, friendly staff and in a good location to take advantage of the main tourist attractions. However, the room itself felt a concrete prison A view from one of of the two small windows led to the a concrete wall 10 feet away. If you looked out from the edge of the other you could see a few roof tops. I stayed in one of the suites. It was stark and devoid of any character. Just blank concrete walls and the most uncomfortable furnishings you can imagine.It's alienating to say the least and not nice to be in. There is no desk and the room has very view outlets. I travel with an extension chord. For the money I would expect a lot more. As you can see from the photo there are rooms with views. Maybe they put the gringos in the lousy rooms because they know they are just passing through. If you stay in this hotel, insist on a room with a city view and you'll be okay. For $100 plus US a night I would have expected it would come with water and a package of coffee each day. Not so! A ten cent pack of coffee is an extra charge. It's bare bones at best. Would I stay here again. NO!

The staff to a person was helpful and welcoming. The hotel’s location is especially good for new visitors to Mérida. The hotel’s Mérida map had a serious error showing the wrong location for the Museo de la Ciudad. other than that issue, our stay was excellent.

The bed was not a king as I expected and the air conditioning wasn’t that cool

The location is great and the staff is responsive. Two major downfalls are

Totally wheelchair accessible, including the shower. Quiet, about 5 blocks to the cathedral plaza

The fitted sheets did not fit the bed Uncomfortable nightly with the sheets. No refrigerator in our room. Staff : Sara who cleaned out room was very good. Staff at the outside entrance daily were very nice and informative and helpful.
