Well I asked Hotel.com to help me because there was jackhammers on the first morning of our stay at 8am in the morning and every day since and the last day they added hammering and did not tell us untill we left that the bathroom next door was broken. But the jackhammer never quit until 4:30/5 that day, so I am not sure that was the entire truth. It was extremely hot in Rome, so my daughter and I would try to avoid the hottest part of the day, but how do you relax with jackhammers above your head? Hotels.com said they would get back to me within 24 hours regarding a partial reimbursement, and it has been 5-6 days, but I have not heard about my partial refund. It was horrible, and the woman in the morning shift was not nice at all. When we checked out, she did not charge me for the morning breakfast, and then emailed me later to explain that it was to compensate for the noise from the hammering next door due to the broken toilet. I never heard back from the Hotel or Hotels.com about the noise we had to endure during our stay, and honestly, I am not very happy and extremely disappointed.
