The check in process was fast but not very convenient. You can't check-in until 3pm, which isn't ideal if you've done an early morning drive and want to get into a room to relax for a minute before starting on business or sightseeing.
The room wasn't very clean. There were hairs from a previous guest on the sheets, some detritus on the floor like house keeping hadn't done a very good job and some broke streaks on the wood paneling. The pictures show these nice, but basic, mosaic need covers, but it's were a plain white. All those things pale in comparison to what happened at night.
At night, the homeless and the drug addicts come out. I didn't think they would be that big a deal because the motel is 2 blocks from a very nice suburb, and a couple of miles from Sacramento State University. Boy was I wrong. My friend got up take a shower and when he turned on the light, cockroaches went scattering. They were everywhere. Adults and little ones. It was disgusting. On the bed, crawling on our bags, everywhere. We grabbed our sod and checked out at 1 am. When i told the girl at the desk we wanted to checkout and that they had roaches, she said "ok, bye".
If you go to Sacramento, stay anywhere but here. Your car is a better option.
