I have never written a hotel review, but my first and only stay at the Oaks Hotel was terrible.
Check-in was a nightmare - the first room i was assigned was dirty, the second room was still being cleaned and we finally got a clean and ready room on the third try. We were upgraded to a larger room which was nice, but the process took over 30-minutes.
The place felt run-down: "out of order" signs throughout the building on vending machines, ice makers, washing machines, soda machines and a broken dryer with parts scattered in the parking lot walkway. Tree clippings left lying around made the place look messy.
Staff weren't uniformed, so it was hard to tell employees from guests.
For the price we paid, I expected far more. This hotel is a dump - I have put them "out of order" for my next planned trip.
